How To Move a WordPress Blog

Well, I did it, and it wasn’t too bad. (Except for this – see update below.) I moved my blog from www.patbdoyle.com to internetbusinessflash.com (without the “b”).

The hardest part was upgrading to the latest version of WordPress – I hadn’t done that in a while. Somehow I lost all my categories, but that’s ok. I had lost them a while ago when I tried upgrading before. I’ll just put them back later.

I moved from DreamHost to Hostgator too. Hostgator has Cpanel, which Dreamhost does not have. If they both would have had Cpanel, it would have been even easier.

Sorry For Not Posting, and All That…

I usually don’t like those posts apologizing for not posting, but… it has been so long since I posted that I thought I should say something before I jump back into this blog.

So, first I stepped back a little from this blog to work more on my other niche blogs, since they were earning most of my money, but soon after that, I got hit with a lot of personal challenges, so I have not actually done much online at all in the last couple of months. I am just starting to get back to work on my online business now. Things are still a little crazy in my life, but they have settled down enough to get back to work.

How I Increased My Feedburner Subscriber Number By 47% In One Day

No, I didn’t actually increase my number of RSS subscribers that quickly… but I did increase the little number in the Feedburner chicklet by that much! How did I do that? Well, read on…

If you were watching my blog, you would not have seen this jump. I don’t show the Feedburner chicklet on my blog, because I want to wait until I get 1,000 subscribers before I show it again – something to shoot for. ;)
